“How did I get here?”

A few weeks ago my Pastor preached a message, simply titled “how did I get here?” The message itself took a different route that focused on the plan God has for our life, in where we stand in it all. Yet, after hearing the message, I decided to ask myself the question again: How did I get here? As I type, I’m thousands of miles up in the air heading home for Winter break, and quite honestly ten years ago I probably would have laughed in disbelief if someone told me where I’d be now. At a younger age, I had my plans of doing well in life, in hopes of making enough money to buy whatever I wanted. I think at one point I wanted to be a teacher, a millionaire, and serve in the army all before the age of 18. Well I’m past 18, and none of those said plans are true—-well at least not in the physical form. For one, up until a few years ago, I spent so much time engrossed in my own plans of how I thought my life should be. I would make plans, and maybe pray about them. Then when things fell through, I would throw a spiritual temper tantrum and depart from God.  This cycle continued for many years, I would make a plan, it wouldn’t happen, I took it personal, and then blamed God.
See what I was doing is something we all do; we basically take our lives in our own hands, and depart from the one who created us. It’s like a puppet attempting to be its own puppeteer—- doesn’t make sense right? That’s because it is insane for us to ever think that we have what it takes to know our tomorrow and even plan for it. Even more so it is an insult to God for us to make plans and not seek his counsel, wisdom, and direction. The reality is, making plans on our own is telling God that He is not capable of us trusting Him. Imagine, telling the person you love on earth the most that they are not worthy of your trust and their voice doesn’t matter. If you claim to love someone without trusting them, then you do not love them. The book of John tells us how much God loved us and how He gave us the ultimate sacrifice in the form of His son (John 3:16). God knew the wickedness of the world, yet His love for us surpassed any fear or mistrust and He sent His humble Son, Jesus. God’s way of showing us His love was through an action that surpasses all understanding. The bible tells us in Psalms 43:13-15, “the Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His dwelling He looks On all the inhabitants of the earth; He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works”
This means that God fashions us each on an individual basis, which results in various destinies and journeys. You current position may be so far from what you thought it would be, because God is not out to make you into the prototype or standard of this world. Instead, He looks to shape you on a path that is unique to your talents, capabilities, and destiny. So ask yourself the question, How did I get here? And thank God, because the journey you’ve taken thus far is specially ordained for you.
Season’s Greetings Y’all!

      18) Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body. (19) Don’t you realise that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, (20) for God bought you with a high price. So you must honour God with your body. (1 Corinthians 6:18-19)

Most of us know what the Bible says about sexual impurity and sex before marriage. We also know that God is against lust and seducing others, making them fall along with us. We know our bodies are temples that God dwells in, but do we know exactly how we are to treat and manage these temples? Do we know how we are to present these temples to the world?

      FOR MY LADIES
Ok ... I undoubtedly cannot respect girls that feel like, in order to get attention from dudes, they must expose body parts in their pix...too cheap mayne. If u cannot win 'em wit yo personality or looks...that's dead.

The above quote was a previous status of mine on Facebook. I felt compelled to write this because I was getting sick and tired of girls being too easy and making a bad name for those of us that are classy and have style.

There are a couple of ways females defile their bodies and also present themselves as 'easy' or as 'sluts'. Now, I'm sure you know what I mean by easy, but do you really know the deep definition of that word? The dictionary defines the word 'easy' as "not requiring much labour or effort; not difficult; simple: an easy job." Another dictionary definition of this word is "woman of easy virtue; a sexually available woman, esp a prostitute." These two definitions are very important to keep in mind.
What these two definitions are saying is that a female who is easy is a female who has about the same virtues as a prostitute. None. She is easily conquered; no man ever has to work for her attention, all they have to do is "hit it and quit it" (have sex and leave). Everybody knows just how easily moved she can be and no male sees her as a challenge. She is easily dominated; an easy job; no man has to labour before she gives up her 'goodies'.
Here are two ways in which you can present yourself as either 'easy breezy' or as 'classy':
1.    LOOKS The way you dress determines how others are going to see you and address you, believe it or not. It's funny because as Humans, we tend to pre-judge people based on their outward appearances. They don't even have to open their mouths to say anything before we can have our biased opinions about them. It's human nature to 'judge a book by its cover', but notice how I said it's 'human' nature and not a 'Christian's nature? As Christians, we must conquer the flesh and try to avoid judging others based on physical appearances. The Bible lets us know that as believers, we are gods. God doesn't judge by outward appearance but by the heart; we also must not judge a person by how they look, but by who they are.
However, we must keep in mind that not everybody around us is a believer, and there are believers who judge others too. So, we must then make our own conscious decisions to dress appropriately. I say conscious because you should not dress in a decent manner just because your parents are watching, or you are at church. No. When you are 'conscious' or aware of why you must dress appropriately, in terms of God's word and for your own good, then it wouldn't be such a challenge. It would come naturally.
Cleavage showing? Unnecessary. Underwear revealing? Very unattractive. Now, you have to decide what your new look should be: Trashy or Classy.
1.    ATTITUDE The way you carry yourself matters a whole lot. You could dress like a 'Sister Mary' sort of person, but your eyes and body are saying 'Easy Daisy'. Your body and your attitude have to be in sync.
"Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one. "(Matthew 5:37)
You can either be easy or classy. Never in between. If your body is saying “No, I don't want premarital sex”, then your words and the way you carry yourself should also say “No”.
I have been told by dudes that I have this classy air about me, where I come off as not easily approachable, but not snobbish either. I always make sure that I come off as not being easily moved or impressed by a sweet talker. I carry myself in such a dignified manner, that no one could ever spread any false rumours about me being a slut or anything of such.
Being a Christian doesn't mean you don't have fun. It just prevents you from very embarrassing situations. Stay faithful and fly. Remain blessed. (Tanto Odubiyi)

A WORD OF PROPHECY FOR YOU

I have blessed you and empowered you and I will lead you in the way of victory, the way of success, the way of prosperity. Do not look at the shadows or failures; don't think that that which I have put in your heart is impossible. For I am He that liveth and was dead; but I am alive forever and I have the keys of hell and of death; but I have given you Life. Therefore ...walk before me and be perfect saith the Lord, for I have perfected you. Fear not that which you shall see, for all that stands against you is but a shadow. You are empowered, you are my blessed ones, therefore walk in blessing and in the consciousness of blessings and the consciousness of dominion for the whole world is mine and because it is mine, it is yours, saith the Lord. These are the words of the Spirit of God unto you. Excellence is in you. Therefore walk the path of excellence for you are my righteousness, saith the Lord [Tongues].

Spread the word, spread the news and bless others with that which I have blessed you, even those that have not been here. Speak these words to them, tell them there is a new order in the spirit. Let them know that I have positioned you and therefore they are positioned for me, saith the Lord. Bless them with the blessings I have given you. That the church may be filled with the glory of the Lord, so saith the Spirit of God unto you.

Erujeje-Praise Medley

Ever been in an place of prayer of worship where you’re so vulnerable in the presence of God, and you start to pray some radical prayers? You know those prayers that sound a little like this : “Lord break me for what makes you”, “Father use me!”, “Make me like Christ”…and the list goes on.
After that moment of worship passes, we continue on to our daily lives and completely forget about these spirit led prayers— that is until, a wicked combination of rejection, failure, and pain slaps us back into reality. This combination occurs when all of a sudden our friends start to disappoint us, relationships are abruptly broken, and the world seems to be against us. That place of loneliness when everything and everyone you’ve ever held to high esteem seems to be ignoring you and you are left alone to battle with your own thoughts.
This place is deep, and scary in that we often start to confuse this time of isolation as the enemy attacking our lives. So what happens? We pray for God to “fix” the situation and do everything in our physical state to repair broken relationships. The problem with this fixing is that it was never supposed to occur in the first place. In fact, we often confuse this point of suffering as a spiritual attack when in actuality God is answering those spirit led prayers.
It’s funny how we Christians remember the prayers of tangible blessings, i.e.- straight A’s, a new car, admission to law school, etc. Yet when we ask God to “break us for what makes Him”, that is an open door for whatever God needs to do to answer this prayer. All of us want spiritual growth but we are not willing to go through the process of actually being broken and purified into a vessel empty enough to be used by God. The bible tells us in Psalm 37:23 that “The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” Meaning that as generalized as that prayer point is, God still delights in the detailed aspects of the answer. Thank God He does not answer with a general response but instead sees fit to form and perfect every detail of our prayers.
The important part, is that all of us need to understand the power of prayer: “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” (Mark 11:24)Despite our understanding the word of God always has and always will hold true, so it is very important that we understand that no matter the prayer, God hears it and will answer it according to His will.
In everything that we do and ask for, remember that Every Little Thing matters.

P.U.S.H. = Pray Until Something Happens!

A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with bright light and the Savior appeared. The Lord told the man He had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. This, the man did, day after day.
For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down with his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might. Each night the man returned to his cabin sore, and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain.
Seeing that the man was showing signs of discouragement, the Adversary decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the man’s weary mind: “You’ve been pushing against that rock for a long time, and it hasn’t budged. Why kill yourself over this? You’re never going to move it” —thus, giving the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man.
“Why kill myself over this?” he thought. “I’ll just put in my time, giving just the minimum effort and that’ll be good enough.”
And that’s just what he planned to do— until one day he decided to make it a matter of prayer and take his troubled thoughts to the Lord.
“Lord” he said, “I’ve labored long and hard in Your service, putting all my strength to do that which You’ve asked. Yet, after all this time, I haven’t even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What’s wrong? Why am I failing?”
The Lord responded compassionately,
“My friend, when I asked you to serve Me— you accepted. I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all your strength— which you’ve done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to Me— with your strength spent, thinking that you’ve failed. But is that really so?”
“Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscular. Your back sinew is mighty. Your hands are callused from the constant pressure;and your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you’ve grown much and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. Yet you haven’t moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom. This you’ve done. I, my friend, will now move the rock.”
At times, when we hear from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants. What God ACTUALLY wants is just simple OBEDIENCE and FAITH IN HIM.
By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains, but know that it’s still God who moves the mountains.

HEALTH TALK
By: Bolade Adesokan
The skin is the largest organ in the body. It protects other organs in the body. It serves as a covering, and because it is the first thing people see, it must be cared for as much as, or maybe even more than ,some organs in the body.
It is important to note that there are simple things that can be done to maintain a healthy skin without spending thousands on skin care products that promise overnight rejuvenation.
The following are some tips to ensure a healthy skin:
- Healthy food is important for healthy skin. Adding lots of green vegetables and a variety of fruits to your diet will ensure that you get the needed vitamins. Also, the benefits of onions and garlic in your diet cannot be overemphasized as they help to clear your blood vessels of toxins.
-Every organ in the body needs water to keep going and growing, so does the skin. The skin needs to be constantly hydrated to keep it looking healthy and prevent breakdown of skin integrity. To keep your skin hydrated, moisturize frequently during the day, especially after every bath. Ointments such as Vaseline keep moisture in more than creams do, although they may be too greasy especially in hot weather. Using a small amount of ointment along with your cream, or using your cream more frequently will ensure that your skin is well moisturized.
-Take time to wash off make-up or cream every night as much as possible. This will ensure that blocked pores are opened up. It is important to stay aware from creams that have the tendency to clog up your pores, especially on your face, causing acne and infection.
- The effect of excessive sun exposure to the skin cannot be overemphasized. It is best to stay away from the sun when it is scorching hot between the hours of 11am and 3pm. The excessive exposure to sunlight causes wrinkles and gradually causes irreparable damage to skin structures.
Take good care of your skin!

WORD FOR YOUTH TODAY

Many christian youth who are already in the Lord, serving the lord whole heartedly and commited to the things of the Lord by working in HIS VINEYARD as a vessel unto honour, but do they know the real meaning of abiding in his commandment and obeying his word, or have they ever wonder how men of GOD hear from God and having the interest of hearing also from THE SAME GOD, without deviating from the presence of the MOST HIGH. Have you ever wonder why the youth of present are distraughted and distraited about WHO GOD IS AND HAVING THE FEAR OF GOD without thinking of who stand near to them or what people think about them, however the present environment the youth live in now has shifted their thoughts and FEAR away from God, and has subjected them to heed to whatever approaches them in terms of YOUTHFUL EXUBERANCE.e.g immorality, alcohol, fornication, covetousness, violence, drug abuse.etc....which in turn as left them with no choice than to obey, meanwhile it has affected them mentally , spiritually, physically, emotionally, psychologically and intellectually and has underestimated them to fulfill their purpose as they wish and like without anyone correcting them of their demeanour, PRO 1;7 THE FEAR OF THE LORD  is the beginning of knowledge but fools despise wisdom and instruction , ITS A PITY WE HAVE BEEN LIVING IN A DECIETFUL , VICIOUS AND DEVLISH WORLD which has forcefully snatch our vibrant and inclined children of God for the purpose of God concerning their lives. THE BIBLE SAYS IN THE BOOK OF ECCLESIASTES 11:10,.... FOR CHILDHOOD AND YOUTH ARE VANITY..THE DEVIL has blinded the youths eyes to see what lies ahead of them and the promises of God over our lives, thats why we are so vulnerable in the hands of the manipulators and destiny destroyers e.g influence from friends and accquitances, 1corint 15:33 DO NOT BE DECIEVED EVIL COMPANY CORRUPT GOOD HABIT, we might as well think we have gotten to the zenith where no body needs to give us words of advice,  HEY LOOK @ Ephesians 5:15-16, See then that ye walk circumspectly not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are EVIL....but we are unaware of the fact that we are walking in the darkness when we don't have the right people to lead us aright in order for us not to make mistakes and fall. Vast majority had fallen and stummbled and have risen up so fast that they are moving on with their lives likewise some also have fallen and they are living in the past feeling of regression and bitterness of how to unwind the past mistakes, WERE IT NOT FOR HIS MERCY AND LOVINGKINDNESS !!!!!!!!!!! unfortunatly one cant except God erase it, and yet we are rendering God free service of our youthful days without examining ourselves appropiately if we are truly serving him or making fools of ourselves in HIS SIGHT. Practically some youth are rendering glorious and sweet smelling savour and doing exploit for OUR GOD !!!! Apparently we've forgotten about what lies ahead of us in the future, whether our past mistakes will HUNT us or not, we have a job to do by ministering to the youth in our generation also to pray for right leaders who will guide us aright in every path we tread our foot on. We only know what we've done that as made us run back to the architect of our life, OUR MASTER !!!!!!!!!!!!! OUR CREATOR!!!!!!!! can we ever run  or hide anything away from him ???? .... oh noooooo we cant because he sees  and knows ALL THINGS, all we need to do is to amend our ways and seek for his infinte mercy and he will take us back like that of the prodigal son thus reversing our footstep away from the old path, which is OUR SIN but when we continuously walking in the old ways it leads to INIQUITY and that is what God detest, but hold up, we are strong and vivacious, so let us use our youth days to serve THE IMMORTAL cause we are like a virtue in HIS HAND, therefore commit thy works unto the Lord and thy thoughts shall be established and moreover PRO 3VS 5-6,  GOSH AM SURE YOU KNOW THAT TOOO.....the SERPENT has made the world soooo attractive and fascinated to all but HIS target is THE YOUTH, embed or rather imbibe in the WORD and absorb your whole being in it, TRUST ME HE WILL NEVER MAKE YOU FALL INTO THAT SAME PITS AGAINNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
